FindUWay is a nightlife and event discovery platform based in Malta. This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you use our website at finduway.com.

When you join our waitlist, we collect:
- Email address — to send you updates about our launch
- IP address hash — a one-way hash for security and rate limiting (we do not store your actual IP)
- User agent hash — a one-way hash for security purposes (we do not store your actual browser details)
- Timestamp — when you subscribed
3. Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6)
We process your data based on your explicit consent, given when you check the consent box and submit the waitlist form.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To send you a welcome email confirming your waitlist registration
- To notify you when FindUWay launches
- To send occasional updates about the platform (no more than once per month)
- To protect against abuse, spam, and automated attacks
5. Cookies
We use only essential cookies:
- CSRF token — protects form submissions from cross-site attacks (session cookie)
- fuw_consent — remembers your cookie consent preference (1 year)
- Laravel session — maintains your session securely (session cookie)
We do not use tracking cookies, analytics, or third-party advertising cookies.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your email is used solely for FindUWay communications.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you remain subscribed to our waitlist. Security logs (containing only hashed data) are automatically purged after 24 hours.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten)
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, CSRF protection, rate limiting, input validation, and security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options). Personal identifiers (IP, user agent) are stored only as irreversible hashes.
